This event started out last year as the Washington Irving Literary Festival created by the folks at Erie Art Company. It has now grown and is being produced in concert with Werner Books and is officially now, Lake Erie LIT Fest!

The mission of the Lake Erie Literary and Storytelling Festival is to celebrate the creative, literary, and storytelling voices of the region and beyond, increase access to literature and culture within the community, and foster joyful creative and critical thinking both on and off the page.

The 1st annual Irving Literary Festival will be held in Washington Square Park (corner of Raspberry/Cascade and 24th/25th)

on Saturday September 23, 2023 from noon until 5 pm. We are inviting Erie residents to experience the works of Washington Irving and original works of Erie writers and poets. The festival will be offering:

+ a free book tent for ages infant-teen,

+ a book swap for adults (bring a book, take a book)

+ book demonstrations

+ poetry and short fiction readings from area storytellers and writers

+music in the gazebo

+ crafts

The FEED is supported by a StARTup grant from Erie County Redevelopment Authority. The FEED drives repeat viewings with daily updates and a large archive of artworks. Poetry, video, illustrations, and photography are curated from dozens of local and visiting artists who have created work at FEED Media Art Center.

Narcissus, a new immersive art installation from Erie Art Company and Noodlefish, premieres at the Erie Art Museum on Friday, April 29th, 2022 during Gallery Night. The exhibit will be located in the Museum’s Bacon Gallery, connecting the Museum entrance to the Hagen Gallery in the Customs House.Narcissus is a narrative installation inspired by the ancient Greek myth found in Ovid’s Metamorphoses. Visitors experience the exhibit as if they are Narcissus themselves. The pieces reflect distorted views and sound activations trigger questions that Echo, the water nymph in love with Narcissus, tried to convey to show her affection.

Noodlefish..where the art comes to play…
Inside every mind is a playground that doesn’t make sense. There are flying objects, unusual creatures,
and sounds that have never been heard before. This imagination can come to life in Noodlefish. Part art
installation, part immersive environment, and part interactive exhibit, Noodlefish explores what time
hasn’t seen and the stories we haven’t told. It is otherworldly without being off-planet. It is outside of

The Erie Art Gallery is an inspired and innovative community gallery, which will inject art and activate spaces. We want to support the ongoing betterment of Downtown Erie. Together with the Erie people connect with art, artists, ideas and each other.

Erie Art Company has been a partner with GEAE and was proud to help host the first LGBTQ+ Call for Art in Erie, Pa. GEAE gave out artist awards to help each artist find their voice.

Commissioned in 2018 to install an Erie local artist Pop-up gallery in the Erie Playhouse for its Erie pARTnership – A Celebration of Theatre About Art

Erie Art Company partner for several years with Lake Erie Ballet as visual consultant and also producing a limited addition Nutcracker poster serigraph.

Erie Art Company is a supporter of TEDXErie since 2015. In 2015 EAC worked with technical teams to produce multimedia experiences, managing presentations and set design for its first year at the Erie Art Museum
